Marvel Minimates Wave 3 - Cyclops and Jean Grey
Here we have a pack containing two popular X-Men, Cyclops and Jean Grey aka Marvel Girl.
Packaging
The packaging features the Ultimate X-Men logo along the side of the card.
The figures are packed in a bubble tray, and have twist-ties holding them in, as well as clear elastic bands holding their arms to their sides.
The figures look good in the package, the colours are very similar which gives the package a definite look.
The Figures
Cyclops
Cyclops, the X-Men field commander, is the first figure in this set. He has his customary visor over his eyes, and an angry open mouth. The visor and hair are all one piece, so it looks a little weird when the visor is removed. Underneath the visor he has red eyes to symbolise his laser shooting capabilities.
Cyclops is in his X-Men uniform, which sadly isn't that detailed. There's a lot of blue, with some yellow to break it up, such as on the chest, and his boots. The costume has cut-off arms, and the blue paint on his shoulders is a bit sloppy. Additionally, if his elbows are bent, blue patches - rather than skin tone - are revealed.
The real stand-out piece on this figure is the belt. It's bright yellow and incorporates great detailing, such as the red X-Men logo.
Apart from the belt, and the visor/hairpiece, Cyclops has no other accessories.
Overall, this figure doesn't hugely impress me. Compared to the other X-Men, Cyclops is a bit plain, a bit boring.

Jean Grey
The second figure in the set is Jean Grey, telepath and girlfriend of Cyclops. This figure has a lot more detail than Cyclops.
Jean has a very appealing face, with startling green eyes and full lips. As usual for the female Minimates, her hair and ears are a separate piece.
The best part of the paint application can be found on her gloves, which are yellow and have some fine detailing on them which gives the figure a classy look.
For accessories, Jean comes with a removable necklace, which has the X-Men logo on it. It's a nice addition to the figure.
Overall, Jean Grey is a fantastic figure, her look is very good and she works well in Minimate form.
